4 days!

Four more days til I'm married! This was our last weekend as Singletons, next weekend we'll be off and married, crazy! Friday was a pretty uneventful day, I pretty much packed for the first half and unpacked for the second half. Saturday was pretty fun, even though I didn't see Kevin. I had a girls day with my mom and sister, we started off the day by going to Walmart to look for picture frames and rolls for the wedding (exciting, I know). Then my sister wanted to go to the swap meet, it was cold and rainy, and I didn't get anything, yay. Later we went to my other sister's B-day BBQ, that was pretty fun. They talked about their well-endowed body parts, and I felt pretty inadequate, haha. When we got back three hours later it was time to curl up on the couch and watch a chick flick, my favorite. Today was a pretty mellow Sunday. Kevin came down to my church and afterwards we went on a little walk with my two dogs, we had a very interesting conversation that is better left unshared with others, lol. Upon our return we played games with my parents then had dinner, and finished the day off with a couple of movies. I love the simple and relaxing days.

Anyway, in honor of my last four wild (not) days as a bachelorette, I think I'll share my top four Cheers and Fears of getting married. Dang that was a lame rhyme, haha.

* I'll never have to worry about being alone.

* I'm afraid of getting covered wagons a lot, if you know what that is.

* Getting to spend all my time with him.

* I don't want it to hurt the first time.

* I love him, and I love the fact that he'll be my husband, and I his wife!

Okay, so that was five, but who's counting?

Our story

So I guess I'll give this blogging thing a try. Though I'm pretty sure I won't keep up with it, since I never have been able to with a diary/journal, but oh well.

The story of us:

I'm Katie, and I'm 19. I am currently attending community college,
and working a little in the evenings.

This is my fiance, Kevin, he's almost 21.
He works full time at the job he's had for almost 3 years.

We've been together for 4 1/2 years. We started dating in high school, I was 14 and he 16. We were together all through all my high school years, true high school sweethearts. We met when his church ward was split because it was too small, and guess who got put into my ward?! The night we started going out my brother and friend told us we should be together because we both liked each other, but we were too shy to admit it, lol, but it didn't take much convincing.

Young love, the first picture of us together.

Now over 4 years later, we're finally getting married! I know people may think we're too young to, but what are we supposed to do, wait til we're together for a decade? No freaking way. So the day is set for May 1st, and I'm so excited! We're getting married in the same church we met at. It may not be very fancy, but it is meaningful for us. Oh and yeah, it's free. Sweet.

One of our engagement pictures. His favorite.

The night he purposed to me was Dec. 5th. We went downtown to see the Christmas lights with his family. After a bit we separated from them and went on a horse carriage ride, where he asked me to marry him!

I've secretly always wanted to be purposed to on a horse carriage ride,
awesome!
This is before he asked me.
Afterwards we went to the church pavilion, and he brought out 2 embossed toasting glasses with our names on one side and 'Together Forever' on the other with a heart. He also gave me a teddy bear and a single red rose, along with sparkling cider and yummy cheesecake! So cute.

My beautiful ring he picked out!

This would be me with the ring and the rose. I like self-portraits, lol.

It's so crazy to think we've been together for so long, but when you're happy time really does fly. But at the same time it feels like we've been together for forever, I can barley remember my life before him, but I don't mind. :)

I guess that about sums it all up, for now.
